Who You Gonna Call Live – November Event
Who Ya Gonna Call… LIVE with Dan Aykroyd & Dr Ciarán O’Keeffe
Sunday 1st November 2026 – 19:30 GMT
For a very special edition of Who Ya Gonna Call… LIVE, Claire and Anthony Bueno are bringing together two extraordinary guests for a conversation unlike anything we’ve hosted before. Legendary Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd will be joined by renowned real-life parapsychologist Dr Ciarán O’Keeffe for an evening exploring Ghostbusters, ghosts, the paranormal, unexplained experiences, belief, scepticism and the mysteries that continue to fascinate us.
Dan will also be talking about his brand-new debut novel, SOULHIDER, published just days before the event. Drawing on his lifelong fascination with the supernatural, extra-terrestrial life and the unexplained, the book gives us the perfect opportunity to explore the ideas, experiences and beliefs that have influenced Dan far beyond his work on screen.
This is not simply another conversation about how Ghostbusters was made. It is a chance to bring together someone whose fascination with the paranormal helped shape one of the most famous supernatural comedies of all time, with someone who has spent his professional career investigating extraordinary experiences for real.
Dan Aykroyd & Dr Ciarán O’Keeffe — Live
Dan Aykroyd needs little introduction. Actor, writer, musician, Blues Brother and original Ghostbuster, he has spent more than four decades at the heart of popular culture. Behind that remarkable career, however, lies a genuine and longstanding fascination with ghosts, UFOs, spirituality and the unexplained. That interest stretches far beyond Ghostbusters, and on Sunday 1st November we will have the opportunity to explore it in much greater depth.
Joining Dan is Dr Ciarán O’Keeffe, an applied psychologist specialising in parapsychology and one of the UK’s best-known investigators and commentators on paranormal experiences. Known to television audiences through programmes including Most Haunted and to listeners and viewers of Uncanny, Ciarán brings a very different perspective to the conversation, combining research, investigation, psychology, scepticism and a fascination with the experiences we still struggle to explain.
Together, Dan and Ciarán will explore what draws us to ghosts, why paranormal experiences have fascinated people across cultures and generations, where belief ends and evidence begins, and what might still lie beyond our current understanding.
From Ghostbusters to Ghosts… For Real
For more than 40 years, Ghostbusters has encouraged audiences to wonder what might really be out there. For Dan Aykroyd, that curiosity has always been genuine. His own interest in spiritualism, the supernatural and unexplained phenomena has been well documented, and this event gives us the chance to explore where that fascination came from and how it has continued to shape his work and imagination.
With Ciarán alongside him, we can also look at those ideas from the perspective of someone who studies paranormal experiences professionally. What separates a genuinely unexplained event from something psychology can account for? Why do people report similar experiences across time and cultures? Can science ever fully explain what people describe as hauntings, spirits or supernatural encounters? And after a lifetime spent thinking about these subjects, what does Dan himself believe?
Claire and Anthony will guide the conversation through Ghostbusters, Dan’s wider career, Ciarán’s research and investigations, and the broader world of ghosts, belief and the unexplained. We fully expect the discussion to go in some unexpected directions.
Dan’s New Novel — Soulhider
The timing of this event makes it particularly special, as Dan’s debut novel, SOULHIDER, is published only days beforehand. The book is a wildly imaginative speculative adventure involving alien factions, harvested human souls and an ordinary insurance adjuster who suddenly finds himself caught up in something far bigger than his everyday life.
During the event, Dan will talk about the inspiration behind the book, why he decided to write a novel at this point in his career, and how his lifelong interest in the paranormal, spirituality and extraterrestrial life fed into the story. If you have ever wanted to disappear down the paranormal rabbit hole with Dan Aykroyd, this may be about as close as you are going to get.
You Ask the Questions
As with every Who Ya Gonna Call… LIVE event, this is not a pre-recorded interview. It is a live, interactive evening created for fans, and you will have the opportunity to be part of the conversation.
When booking your ticket, you will be invited to submit a question for Dan and/or Ciarán. Selected audience questions will then be put to our guests live during the event. Whether you want to ask Dan about Ghostbusters, Soulhider or his fascination with the paranormal, or you have a question for Ciarán about ghosts, hauntings, belief or unexplained experiences, this is your chance.
To help us manage what we expect will be a very busy Q&A, all questions will need to be submitted in advance when booking.
Early Bird Tickets
Because we expect particularly high demand for this event, tickets will be released in waves. The first release will consist of 100 Early Bird tickets, giving fans the opportunity to secure their place before the next allocation becomes available.
Further ticket releases will follow, but if you want to be among the first to guarantee your place for this very special edition of Who Ya Gonna Call… LIVE, we recommend booking early.
